Though Auburn QB Sean White has been nothing but supportive of Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham after the Tigers named Stidham the starting quarterback on Monday.

On Wednesday, he reiterated his stance that he would do everything possible to help Stidham and the Tigers have success in 2017.

However, according to 247Sports, White was much less firm in his commitment to Auburn following the 2017 season, saying he hasn’t thought about transferring yet, but wouldn’t rule it out, either:

“I really have not thought about it all,” White said. “I’m just focusing on this season. That’s all I’m thinking about. When that time comes, I’ll think about it then.”

As far as his future is concerned, White said he would love for it to be at Auburn, but said he wants to wait and see what happens this season:

“It could be here, for all I know,” White said. “But I think, just in general, these experiences that I’ve had — I’ve had ups, good ups, I’ve had low downs, I’ve been through a lot of stuff, and I think experience, there’s no substitute for experience. I think I’ve been through a lot of stuff, and it’s made me a better quarterback already. And I know we have this upcoming season, and I’ll get even more experiences. I can definitely use Auburn to my advantage. No doubt.”

White would be able to leave Auburn as a graduate transfer following the 2017 season if everything goes according to plan academically for the junior quarterback.

It would make the most sense for him to wait until the end of the year to decide what to do next season, though, as Stidham is eligible to declare for the NFL Draft following the 2017 season.
