Former Auburn All-American defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who terrorized opposing quarterbacks during his time in the SEC, has played well for Detroit and is earning his way back into the starting lineup after being benched in the preseason.

Here are some updates on former Tigers who made an impact around the NFL in Week 3:

  • Daren Bates: Bates has made appearances in each of the first three games for the St. Louis Rams. He made five total tackles during the 2013 season with the Rams.
  • Josh Bynes: Bynes recorded 79 total tackles in three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. After being cut during the preseason, Bynes was resigned by the Ravens.
  • King Dunlap: Dunlap has started all three games for the San Diego Chargers in 2014.
  • Sen’Derrick Marks: Marks has recorded 13 total tackles this season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, 10 of which have been solo. He has 146 total tackles in his six year career.
  • Ontario McCalebb: McCalebb has made just one appearance for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2014. He spent his rookie season as a member of the practice squad after switching to cornerback after being signed as an undrafted free agent.
  • Ben Tate: Tate is currently injured with a sprained knee for the Cleveland Browns. He’s played in just one game in 2014 for Cleveland.
