Sitting at 2-4 is only slightly worse that what we expected. Nobody thought Kentucky would be any better than 3-3 after 6 games and Florida, LSU and South Carolina are all far superior teams. Sure the Louisville loss hurts, but if the biggest concern is losing in-state recruits, then really, what did we lose. The best high school player in Kentucky will be playing for the Cats next year and the second best will probably be pumping gas.

If you think it has been a bad week to be a Kentucky football fan, well it’s time to think again. Sure, losing to your biggest rival Louisville seems like the bottom of the pit, but keep in mind the Wildcats will be squaring off with a trio of SEC powerhouses that all have their eyes set on a National Championship.

This is a tough week for Kentucky fans. Having to go back to work isn’t easy after Louisville came into Commonwealth Stadium and knocked the Wildcats off 24-17 in a game that really wasn’t as close as the final score indicated.

The Kentucky Wildcats are 2-0 on the season. It hasn’t been pretty, but they have found ways to win. The offense has struggled to get going and the defense has been pretty good, but has also benefited from some lucky breaks that prevented big plays and possible scores. Kentucky needs to finally start running on all cylinders against the Cardinals of Louisville.
