The ideal roadmap for Florida Gator fans wondering what to watch and be excited about come National Signing Day this Wednesday including predictions on which players will select Florida.
If you have been paying attention to the Gator football team lately, you would know they have received probably the two biggest commitments just in the last 3 weeks. No I’m not talking about Bryan Cox, Jr. or Alex McCalister. I’m talking about new Offensive Coordinator Brent Pease and Director of Player Personnel Jon Haskins.

That sensation you just felt? Its Déjà vu. Didn’t think you’d be feeling this way nine days before National Signing Day? Don’t worry, you’re not alone, most of Gator Nation wasn’t expecting this (or at least they acted like they weren’t).
The Gators won’t be starting its SEC schedule at Neyland Stadium for their annual third-Saturday in September matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers, instead they’ll be traveling west to College Station, Texas to give the Texas A&M Aggies they’re first taste of life in the SEC.
While the Gators have already been knocked out of the SEC East race, this game is not void of motivational factors for the young team; sending out the seniors’ on an SEC high-note, gaining bowl eligibility, and most importantly revenge for last year’s beat down in the Swamp.
There are many storylines wrapped up in this game. Both teams are returning key players from injuries, Florida coach Will Muschamp will be facing his alma mater for the first time as a head coach, and Georgia coach Mark Richt will be trying to exorcise the Jacksonville demons that have haunted the Bulldogs.
The real impact on Florida’s fledgling offense has been the lack of a running game. Now, granted, having a freshman quarterback in the backfield usually gives opposing defenses the opportunity to key on the rushing attack, but even then the drop in the numbers may surprise you.
Fresh off of three losses in a row, this team is reeling. This team is searching for leadership and an identity. Will Muschamp needs to establish those leaders. Charlie Weis and Dan Quinn need to establish this team’s offensive and defensive identity.
Jeff Driskel? Barrett Trotter? Jacoby Brissett? Or could it be Kiehl Frazier? Of the four quarterbacks listed, we do know that Barrett Trotter will be starting for the Auburn Tigers, but for how long remains to be seen.
