The SEC East will try and make a name for itself in 2012. The East, as a whole, has been down over the last couple of seasons, but talent is packing at each one of the East teams.

Arkansas had not won eleven games in a season since 1977, when they ended that year with an Orange Bowl victory over Oklahoma to finish 11-1. A 29-16 decision over Kansas State Friday night in the 76th Annual Cotton Bowl, earned the Hogs win number 11 for the first time in thirty-four years.

Mississippi State takes on Wake Forest in the Music City Bowl in Nashville later this month. Even though Wake could be looked at as a lesser opponent, their passing game really is something to take note of. This should be a good football game, until State wears them down in the fourth quarter.

To stop the LSU running attack with their five-headed monster in running backs Spencer Ware, Michael Ford, Alfred Blue and Kenny Hilliard, along with quarterback Jordan Jefferson’s option attack, you have to be men against the run…not just boys. Can Georgia complete that task? We’ll have to wait and see:
