Herschel Walker’s single season rushing record has stood for 29 years in the SEC. SDS is proud to keep a close watch on Marcus Lattimore’s rushing numbers and compare those to Walker’s season totals. This will be a weekly edition on SDS.

Here are the SDS Bowl Projections for week five. Probably no surprises…yet. This weekend will have a huge impact toward those projections, though, with Alabama and Florida playing.

Entering 2011, the Florida Gators were coming off of a very disappointing 2010 season that saw its club start 4-0 but with major question marks, only to finish 3-5 the rest of the regular season. However, this looks to be a different 4-0 football team.

After a few extra days of much needed rest, Mississippi State will return to action Saturday night against Louisiana Tech. It will be the second home game of the season for MSU, who enters the contest with a 1-2 record after losing to Auburn and LSU within a brutal five day span.
