F. D. Perkins

F. D. Perkins was Texas A&M’s first-ever football coach, taking over the Aggies’ football team for its inaugural season in 1894. His team lost 38-0 to the University of Texas then won its first game in history by a final score of 14-6 over Ball High School in Texas. The Aggies did not play an 1895 season, and Perkins did not return to coaching when A&M took the field again in 1896.
