George E. Pyle

George E. Pyle served five seasons as the head football coach at the University of Florida from 1909-1913, posting an impressive 26-7-3 record as coach of the Gators. His teams finished 6-1-1, 6-1, 5-0-1, 5-2-1 and 4-3 in his five seasons as head coach. His 1912 team won that year’s Bacardi Bowl. Pyle passed away in 1949 at the age of 63.
