Ray G. Dauber

Ray G. Dauber coached college football, basketball and track & field throughout his career, focusing primarily on football during that time. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Mississippi State in 1929 and served as MSU’s head coach from 1931-1932. The Bulldogs were 2-6 in Dauber’s first season and 3-5 in his final season before moving on to coach football and basketball at Tulane University. Dauber was a combined 0-9 against conference opponents while coaching at MSU. He also served as the Bulldogs’ head basketball coach during his career. Dauber passed away in 1965 at the age of 62.
