Man, looks like the chickens are smoked. Sounds yummy, actually...
Totally agree with everything you said. I just find it hilarious that after every win against mediocre teams they carry their coach around the stadium.
I enjoy adversarial joking as much as the next guy. Target coaches all you want, they took the job and the public identity with the pay, but leave the families out of it. This crosses the line for me.
It looks like both teams play to the weakness of the other. A&M probably won't run much unless they bring in a few Kyler Murray sets to drive Saban nuts, so A&M's spread pass attack versus a moderate passing defense. Bama will shove it through the middle until we prove to stop them, and between Coker not being the most settled QB and Myles Garrett/Daeshon Hall pass rushing, they won't get too many deep balls on us. I tend to agree with the 50/50 - anyone's game, but that extra 6% might be the 12th Man. We'll see. Should be a great cardiac test of a football game! #BTHObama! Gig'EmAggies!!
Yeah, I pretty much think it will be whoever scores last. Bama's proven great at rushing, and Coker has not been the greatest passer, while A&M's spread passing is a joy to watch (when receivers catch the ball), while our reliance on Carson for rushing is worrisome. My gut says the 12th Man and the motivation to prove something puts more fire under A&M to get the win, but with only a 3 point spread, it's truly either team's to take. #BTHObama! Gig'Em Aggies!
Bret Bielema is a used car salesman with a whistle. He puts the ASS in NO CLASS.
Please take your "Tea Party Tourette's Syndrome" elsewhere. This is not the place for it.
If there were 60,000 of him at Davis Wade Stadium, you'd never fit...
He's watched wayy too much Pro Wrestling, with his "What are ya gonna do??" Shctick. Maybe he was Paul Bearer to the Undertaker. I hope so, Miss. State will need his services.
Every team that loses is a missed field goal, missed touchdown, missed tackle, whatever away from victory. Shoulda, woulda, coulda...
Two cowbells, one for him and one for his cousin/wife.
One of the big negatives for both teams is in terms of recruiting. While the exposure for high school kids to see the teams play is great, it technically counts as a home game for one team but they can't host official visits off-campus. So even though it counts as a home game, it's a lost opportunity for recruiting. Since it's no longer a non-conference game, it's lost a lot of it's appeal. My vote would be to return to a regular conference game.
No pictures of the NEW Kyle Field? That's a shame!
Agreed! Though the Aggies have the blessed problem of a completely loaded receiving corps. With so many targets to throw to, it might be hard for some of them to stand out. Josh Reynolds is starting to look like the Kyle Allen receiver equivalent to Johnny Manziel's Mike Evans. The height and jump capability to bring in the catch are making him stand out. Christian Kirk is showing amazing poise and agility as a freshman receiver. Once Speedy Noil gets back to speed, it should be a dangerous trio to cover!
Does anyone know if Bose Noise Cancelling headphones filter out cowbells? Asking for a friend...
Yeah, the lack of an aggressive defense, or ANY defense for that matter hurt us. Watching players literally watch opposing team run by them waiting for the secondary to get them drove me NUTS! I'm not hoping for defensive miracles this year, but at least defensive players are attacking towards the receiver/runner. If we can get "just enough" defense so our offense isn't carrying the whole burden like it was last year, there's hope for good things to come.
