Both defenses were fantastic!!! This was classic Bama/LSU football. Etling is teflon. That kid is tough. Can't wait till next year.
You two kids settle this behind the gym at recess. :)
Nothing to see here. This is what Muschamp does. He's the Bobby Knight of college football. Fun to watch :)
Good move. However, the drama may be enough to prompt Les to start job shopping. Who could blame him?
Auburn came to play. Much better game than I expected.
I'm afraid the "vocal few" is going to screw over the "non-vocal many". Who will they replace him with? Who is better? I'm afraid LSU is making the same mistake Tennessee made. It may take a decade or more to recover from this knee-jerk reaction.
Justin Fuente would be a good move. He's on the rise, and has a good offensive head on his shoulders.
It's pointless to keep arguing over this. Regardless of the penalty, only one team was hurt by the incident. That team is the Hogs.
If a player is "tweeting" at halftime, that pretty much tells the state of the Texas program.
I wish I could disagree with the UGA fan base. I think Richt is a great guy, and a good coach. Georgia needs a great coach to have a great team. I don't know if the problem is recruiting or coaching. All I know is what they have is not getting them from good to great.
Agreed. I was stunned that this one was upheld.
I just can't make myself be a regular audience member of the same show that Harvey Updyke frequented. The hillbilly factor is just too high.
I wouldn't count Auburn out, just yet. They have a very long history of playing to the level of an opponent. They are also the kings of spectacular comebacks (See 2013 season - Georgia game winning catch and Iron bowl field goal return).
The flip side to this argument is this. The SEC beats the living crap out of each other, week in and week out. By the time the winner emerges, they have to face a fresh opponent for the playoffs. The SEC teams are beat up, with key players injured. It's apples and oranges. It's the equivalent of the skinny friend of the bully getting the last punch in, after the bully did the fighting.
I like this guy! MSU has taken a back seat for so many years. I'm enjoying seeing their fans get excited! Now, if we can do something about Vandy :)
Most of the guesses are reasonable. However, Notre Dame? Clemson? Puuuuuuuulease.
I expect a very good game. They beat the Barners last year. They are a well coached, solid team. Anything can happen in week 1.
Projecting bowls in the pre-season is futile, at best. Bama is loaded with talent. But, the QB is a big question mark. And, that can make or break a season. Honestly, Auburn probably has the better shot, because they will have a very strong offense and the defense will be much improved, too.
Malzahn is heads and shoulders above Chizik. He is certainly worthy of respect. You homers who think he's gone soon are living in a dream world. A good D.C. will make AU national contenders on a consistent basis. Get used to it. SEC West is where the big boys live.
