Born and raised in SEC country, I've lived most of my life in Georgia, and I'm a diehard Atlanta sports fan, but most of all I'm a Dawgs fan and I bleed red and black.

I've seen a lot of articles about the battle that will take place to replace Mason. Everyone already seems to have Brice Ramsey locked in as the starter. Many analysts had Jake Coker locked in as Bama's starter too, but I'm here to tell you that Jacob Park is the most talented quarterback on the roster, even though he may not have the experience, he has all the tools that Kaepernick had at Nevada. I heard talk from UGA boosters that Park could've stole the job from Mason if he had struggled, so he's obviously a very good player. With that being said, I don't think their's as much concern as you may believe.
You can't be too surprised that Chubb destroyed Louisville, he's made it quite obvious that he's the best back in the SEC, if he stays healthy and out of trouble he can surpass Herschels UGA rushing record, he could've rushed for over 2000 yards this season if he wasn't Gurley's backup.
It's about time Georgia's offensive line got some credit, they've been snubbed by almost everyone on any All SEC list, and All American lists.
Mettenberger wasn't a part of LSU's 2011 recruiting class....
Reggie Ragland, Markus Golden, Amarlo Herrera, and Vernon Hargreaves at least deserve some credit, or an honorable mention.
Georgia is a loser in a way too, yeah we might get Gurley, Michel, and Marshall back, and Chubb gets some rest after tearing up Mizzou and Arkansas, but stopping a hot team right in its tracks can be detrimental too. We can't underestimate Florida, they're our biggest rival and they'll play a tough game, Mason and the defense are heating up too, so it'll be interesting to see how the Dawgs handle the bye week.
I know Chubb is the real deal, I had the misfortune of having to play him twice in high school, and I can state unequivocally that Chubb is the best player I've ever played against, the first year we played him he torched us for for over 300 yards rushing....and Chubb did that against everyone Cedartown played.
First off if you're a Bama fan, how did you watch the UGA game that pretty much coincided with the Bama game? Second, did you watch the first half, because it was 38-6 going into halftime? Arkansas didn't control this game at any point, they played a lot better than us in the second half, and I give a lot of credit to Bielema and the whole Razorbacks team, the offensive line tightened up in the second half and played great, and the defense held Nick Chubb as long as they could. We were the better team yesterday, our defense lives on making turnovers, and they made plays when it mattered most, obviously we had the more dominate running game, it might've been a blowout if Bobo hadn't been really conservative in the third quarter, and if the defense hadn't played soft coverage.
This is what I heard, "gibberish gibberish gibberish, Notre Dame, gibberish gibberish I'm a jackass".
Just wanted to point out that this wasn't UGA's first ever shutout of an AP ranked opponen. It was the first time we've done it on the road, we shutout number 20 Florida in 1982.
I think things for Mizzou don't actually look as bleak as everyone believes, that defense is actually really talented. Mason, Douglas, the receivers, and Nick Chubb had to fight very hard, and earn every yard they gained. That pass rush was fierce, I give them a lot of credit, because I know that we have a really good offensive line. Matty Mauk isn't as bad as some claim to be either, the receivers did him no favors dropping balls, and missing out on easy catches. The offensive line had a hard time with our front seven, but everyone in the SEC knows that Floyd and Jenkins are pass rushing specialists, and they proved that Saturday. Give Mauk some time, this is his first season as the full time starter.
What Georgia needs to do is stick to the game plan, we can give Nick Chubb the ball 30 times and it will likely turn out pretty good for us, Chubb hasn't gotten much respect this week, and all these fake fans jumped ship as soon as Gurley was suspended, but Chubb is the real deal, he is just like Trent Richardson, an incredibly gifted freak of nature. You can guarantee the whole team is gonna play inspired today, our chances at the SEC East crown, pretty much live or die with today's game.
Listening to these simple minded buffoons can get infuriating, thank God that they didn't get the Georgia-Mizzou game Saturday, I would bet everything I own that Lundquist would say Damain Swain, and not Damian Swann....he's done that for three years now...the fact that they have jobs as commentators on a major network pisses me off.
Mark Richt said that UGA wasn't running a two quarterback system, they're just trying to get Brice Ramsey some game action, because Hutson is struggling and could be replaced at any time, and Ramsey is the best option. If we ask Mason to do any more than be a game manager, we could be in trouble, he struggles mightily with anything more than an intermediate pass. Having Justin Scott Wesley and Malcolm Mitchell back will help a lot, because they're the real downfield threats.
As a Georgia fan I can honestly say that top recruiting classes mean nothing. If you don't have a coaching staff that's worth a damn, you have nothing...we've had unbelievable talent thay has been wasted by sorry coaching.
Lol, leave it to a biased SEC hating jerk like Cowherd to declare that Bama's run is over. I'm sorry, but with all of the top recruiting classes they have, and the best coaching staff in all of football, they unfortunately are still gonna be the team to beat.
Dak has played well, but theirs still a lot of football left to be played, and Mississippi State fans need to calm down, just because your team is relevant for the first time ever, doesn't entitle you to talk so much trash yet...you.haven't won anything, No SEC Championships, 0 National Championships, if y'all win it all then go ahead and run your mouth, but theirs still a lot of football left to be played, against Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Alabama!
Man, next year y'all are gonna be a dangerous team.
I'm not complaining about running it up the middle, I'm complaining about how often he does it, and at the inopportune moments that he calls it.
Too bad we run the football the majority of the time....
Actually I'm a linebacker at a Division 2 school, and I guarantee I know a hell of a lot more than you do about football.
It doesn't matter, they can blow his redshirt at any time of he's ready to step in. Besides did I ever actually say "replace Mason" no! Now that Mitchell and JSW are back, I'm not even worried, besides, all we really need from Mason is to be a game manager for now.
Have you watched a Georgia game this year? Leonard Floyd has wreaked havoc against every team we have played so far, he's all over the field and is almost always crushing a quarterback or running back. He doesn't get credit because he's the one being double teamed, opening holes for Herrera and Jenkins, and Lorenzo Carter the freshman has played great too.
I believe that Georgia is in good shape at the moment. 11-1 or 10-2 is a very achievable goal. While Arkansas on the road, and Auburn at home will be extremely tough tests, I think that we can pull out wins against both teams. Heres why, we have the best running back in the nation, I don't believe that Gurley will be held under 100 yards in any game this season, we are getting JSW and Malcolm Mitchell back from injury, and that will help Mason's confidence a lot. The defense is obviously weak, but if we can put enough pressure on opposing qbs, and stay healthy, the Dawgs aren't out of it yet!
Worley deserves a lot of respect, any quarterback who can take a constant beating and still almost lead his team to victory deserves a lot of credit.
I agree completely, Mason looked like he had the arn strength of a wet noodle, he was inaccurate, looked like a lost sheep the entire game, and played like trash! I've heard that Jacob Park, who is a true freshman, may be the best quarterback on the roster, imagine a younger Colin Kaepernick, he's 6'4" about 215, has a cannon, and can run like Shockley did in 2005, I have heard all this from a booster that I know, he was also pretty confident that Park may end up and replace Mason any game now.
Mike Bobo is the most overrated offensive coordinator in all of college football. Bobo has been the offensive coordinator since 2006, he's had Matthew Stafford, Knowshon Moreno, AJ Green, Aaron Murray, Mohamed Massaquoi, Orson Charles, Todd Gurley, Malcolm Mitchell and etc. Bobo has rode the talent of this superb talent for nearly 10 seasons. He's been getting credit for high scoring offenses that could have carried us all the way, Bobo's all time favorite play call is running it up the middle on 3rd and medium. Bobo's garbage play calling has cost us plenty of times, he's predictable, if he would've stopped forcing the pass against Tennessee, and stuck with running the ball the majority of the time, we probably would have had a comfortable lead, and their wouldn't be a hole in my living room wall. Bobo's been pissing us Georgia fan's off, far too long, it's time for him and his mediocre play calling to get kicked to the curb!
Tennessee has a chance to win, but their are just too many factors bearing down on them. First the offensive line is very inexperienced, and the Georgia front seven has tons of experience mainly the linebacking corp. Jordan Jenkins and Leonard Floyd will give them trouble the entire game. Another big factor is coming in to Athens. It's abudantly clear that Tennessee will have to stop the run if they want to win, and the defensive line is just too inexperienced to get the inside penetration to bottle up Gurley, Chubb, and Michel. AJ Johnson is one of the best linebackers in the SEC, but he can't do it by himself, while I think he has a great game, the Georgia offense is just too good.
