Yes, but what everyone seems to be conveniently forgetting is some players who were studs were not even listed as starters...and we rotated players like crazy to a point where it pissed our fans off a lot. However, it will pay big dividends this year. I love the media tanking on us - we always do better with a chip on our shoulder.

But it could be a team that is in the West conversation every year and has a great season every 3-4 years. I think Mullen would prefer this to crazy fans that ride you after an 8-4 season. Mullen leaving for Florida is laughable. Gator fans who are connected to their AD know this as well. Foley HATES Mullen. Like big time hates him. Major clash of egos there. It was so bad at Florida, that the rumor is Mullen was asked to seek other opportunities after the 08 MNC - even before he was courted by State. Furthermore, it's well known that Meghan Mullen hated Gainesville. A popular story she tells is that she would be harassed in supermarkets after Florida lost, whereas this of course never happens at State. The reality is that Mullen has built this team and it is his baby. His ego will not let him leave - in addition to the reason above. Oh and how about money? Well we can match whatever Florida does. Despite what UF fans may think, we have a very wealthy family at MSU that donated millions upon millions to make sure State could keep a coach if it got into a bidding war. The SEC Network money also has evened the playing field. Keep dreaming Florida fans. I hear Sylvester Croom is available.

It's rare that I agree with a reb, but this is spot on. Texas A&M will take a huge hit this year. May even struggle to make a bowl. They lost their star QB, star OLineman, and star WR in the first round of the draft this year. Add to that the fact they lost quite a few guys off the Defense (which was terrible already) because of disciplinary issues and they could really stink it up. #20 ranking was a gift based on recruiting rankings and Johnny Football.

Brad, you need to edit this. You show us as 4-4 in the SEC in your predictions but 3-5 in the SEC in the summary. That doesn't make any sense. I know speed is key these days but this is simple stuff that SDS writers seem to be missing. Good content, though. I think we go 9-3 and beat one of LSU,UMiss, Auburn with for sure loss to Bama
