You can't discredit the 80s defenses without also taking into account the more talented teammates, particularly the OLine Henry enjoys. You also are not taking into account the changes in the game in the last 34 years. With the rules heavily benefiting offenses nowadays, particularly helping blockers and hindering tacklers, it's a lot easier to succeed as a RB in 2015 than in 1981. And actually, I can pretty much say that if Herschel was in college today, he'd still be dominating physically, though not quite to the degree he did in the 80's. I'd be willing to say even bigger and more powerful than Henry and with an added bonus of 4.3 speed. Not discrediting Henry in any way, but Herschel was a beast and is probably top 5 if not top 3 best RB ever in college ball.
Having played against Samuel in high school, he was great at both positions, but honestly not 5 star at either. His issue at UGA was injuries to other players necessitated him switching positions often.
I don't see it as at least the defense has a lot to prove against it's former coordinator.
It is now since if the review shows there is no targeting the penalty is redacted. Still smarting from the loss to Vandy loss last year because of that crap.
If that ball was 2" higher, UGA wins that game, and probably the national championship. It's only a bad decision because it didn't work.
Cannibalizing each other, then feasting on whatever bowl games they stick our teams in prove the quality though. As long as Bama doesn't pull that consolation game crap again this year.
Someone would have leaked something by now. NCAA being NCAA and not doing their jobs.
They don't ignore holding, they just only call it when there isn't a hold AKA why UGA has a loss.
If you watch more K-State games you'll see that they never get penalized because they don't make stupid mistakes. Bill Snyder's teams have always been that way.
It's being unable to advance the ball via a forward fumble. Good rule though.
I work in the same town that Allen currently lives in and that guy is definitely fearing for his life. Heard he lost his job and his address and photo of his home are floating around social media. No wonder he wants Gurley to play.
