In many of the national title games, like 1998 and 2008, the Lady Vols went up by 20 points or more and she still showed the same intensity as if it were all tied up. All the greats seem to do that. Play to the last whistle.
Alabama didn't lose anything of note. They've had six straight #1 recruiting classes. It's more about what Tennessee has gained. A new DC and better starters being prime examples.
And in that case, I'd pick beat Florida. If they had only beaten us three or even six times in a row, then I wouldn't mind losing to them as long as we were Atlanta bound. But eleven? No.
Well, I know we'll beat Mizzou at least. Handily, as well. Have fun competing with Vandy, Kentucky and South Carolina for fourth place in the division. It looks like it will be that way for awhile.
The lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of sheep. Just like the Vol fan doesn't concern himself with the opinions of Cat fans. Kentucky is 1-30 against Tennessee since 1985. Anything you say to attempt to besmirch us is laughable, pathetic and sad. Stick to basketball and let the real schools play the real sport.
Option B! Losing to Bama, our biggest historical rival, twice? No way! I get that Florida determines if the Vols can play for an SEC title. But since I live in TN, I RARELY interact with Florida fans. I've only probably seen 10 in total when I drive to places since I've lived here and I only know 1 personally. But Bama? I know PLENTY. Do you know how much crap I will get from them if we lose in the regular season AND on the SEC's biggest stage? Not to mention we've already lost 9 in a row?!! Unbearable, unacceptable, unthinkable. My pride picks Option B.
Seems legit. Move Kentucky down to 6-6 and 4-8, though. I wouldn't care if they landed every five-star they could've in the 2016 class. It's Kentucky. You think our streak to the Gators is bad? Kentucky hasn't beaten them since 1987 and they're 1-30 against the Vols in the past 31 years.
Tennessee will destroy the Hokies. They are a defense reliant, poor offense, low talent, ACC team. Prediction: Outback Bowl part 2.
A win's a win. I still have 4 months of bragging about 38-31 left in me.
He really does look like a gopher, doesn't he lol.
We won 3 SEC championships ('90, '97, '98) and a national championship ('98) which is a foreign concept to UGA, in the 90's. We also went 8-0 against UGA in the 90's. Talk about domination.
Haha! That's all you got atx? No championships to brag about so you resort to something that won't happen? Jones isn't going anywhere.
Of course you'd accept being a middle of the road team in the SEC. Arkansas hasn't known anything else. And we're going to be ranked in the top 15 maybe 10 to start 2016, so stop dwelling in the past. We'll be far more relevant and win championships long before Arkansas.
Fans of SEC bottom dwellers are all the same. Arkansas, Miss State, Vandy, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri and Texas A&M haven't accomplished anything significant, so they just have to gloat about beating the better programs. This happens once in a blue moon, so you guys can have your fun because that pass is one of Arkansas' biggest accomplishments, which is sad and pathetic. Our trophy case is quite full so we'll just sit here with our 6 national championships and 13 SEC titles and laugh at you because you think that loss to Arkansas was or is on our radar.
It's not exactly a classy thing to do, especially when Alabama clearly didn't beat the hell out of the opposing team (GA '12 and CLEM '15 for example), but if you don't like it then just beat them. Then throw it right back at them. But it's not racist or anything so I don't see why it's a problem. Banning it because it hurts people's feelings is pansy BS of the highest order.
Orange Swarm gonna make some noise next year. Blitzing often, sacking often.
I'm surprised the Kentucky players could even walk after the last two ass beatings Tennessee gave them.
Kentucky is basically the Meek Mill of the TN-Kentucky "rivalry".
I would love it if Tennessee gave Dobbs the starting job, but on third and long in the first couple games, gave Dormady some shots. If he can't get it done, then bench him until next season, but he is the best passer on the team. He reminds me of Erik Ainge, the few times I saw him this season. The touchdown he threw in the Western Carolina game had a lot of Tennessee fans salivating for sure.
