Let's put a giant screen in Jordan Hare... oh, wait.
I love Auburn and I love winning, but I hate to see anyone get hurt in a game. These young men put everything they have into what they do, and to see someone at that age sustain such a horrific injury is deeply saddening. Prayers go out to him and his loved ones for a speedy and thorough recovery. Still, it was a fair play and we won. Nobody wanted to injure the young man, the other guys were just playing as best as they could.

I really believe that Auburn looked tepid this weekend because Gus isn't showing anything new or different in his playbook until we hit LSU this coming weekend. Because of that we're using the exact same plays and setups that we've used in the previous games. Add to that he was appearing to push the passing game to give Nick Marshall some more opportunities to build his confidence, and I'd say that what we saw was just what coach wanted TAMU, Georgia, LSU, USC and the rest to see.
Good Lord in Heaven, those Auburn uniforms are the ugliest things I've ever seen. What is with all these ridiculous alternate uniforms? We have one of the classiest, cleanest, best looking uniform combinations in the country. White Helmet with a navy blue cage emblazoned by a navy AU with orange trim and an orange stripe flanked with navy lines. Navy jersey with white numbers and name and an orange stripe flanked in white for home games, white jersey with blue number and names and an orange stripe flanked in navy for away. White pants, orange stripe, navy trim and belt. It works. It's awesome. Nothing that you design will look any better. Leave the ugly and bizarre uniforms to the Ducks.
Why.. I mean really, WHY, would any Auburn person hate one of our two quarterbacks for even a second? Our school is blessed with two talented young men who have the potential to lead us to an amazing season. Hate is an incredibly strong word and using it in this context doesn't seem to be humor, but more of someone trying to start controversy where none exists.
Just stay the heck away from our uniforms. The home uniform is classic, clean and functional, and the away "storm trooper" uniform looks incredible when we walk onto an opponent's field. And don't you ever, EVER think of changing our helmets! They're the best looking helmets in football, period. Nobody even comes close.
And I'm pretty sure this is the stupidest rule I've heard of. I sincerely hope you boys get to keep "Hail State" on your jerseys.
Nova (War Eagle VII) is a golden eagle, as Saljane stated. Tiger (War Eagle VI) as well as War Eagle V, War Eagle IV, War Eagle III and War Eagle II were also golden eagles. War Eagle I, the earliest and most storied of the eagles, has never had his or her species (or gender, obviously) confirmed. Due to the nature of the first eagle and it's story, one may consider that he or she is the platonic ideal of the Auburn Eagle, as that legendary bird's spirit is as much a part of today's campus and of Auburn people as it is a part of the history of our football team.
