...The loss was LSU’s first loss in a night game at home to an unranked opponent in Les Miles’ 10-year stay in Baton Rouge, so it’s not as though Mississippi State happened upon a vulnerable program in dire straits.... Yes, because for the past several years we have been stocking the NFL. Give all credit to State - great play, really wanted it, great game plan, great leadership, dominate all phases of the game. Many of the players who *would* have been on this LSU team are now playing on Sundays: http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=209493663 So...after 15 years, and really since 1991 (23 years!) IN Death Valley, State gets a win against a team with 9 starters gone to the NFL and 17 freshmen playing. LSU's "backup" QB nearly won the game in the end. It's true - State dominated this team and this game, and Dak Prescott is the new Tim Tebow, but you are right...it was not an upset. As an LSU fan who could easily be a State fan on the right Saturdays, I'm honored that a win over LSU at Tiger Stadium is one of the greatest goals for the whole MSU program, and that you were finally, after nearly a quarter century, able to attain it.
