VA Tech beats the no. 8 team in the country, on the road,never trailed . . . dominating defense . . . outgained them offensively (i.e., not a fluke) . . . dominated a good FCS team the first week . . . and they won't even be ranked? Yet South Carolina and Clemson were trounced by similarly ranked teams and Nebraska, UCLA, and others have struggled against mediocre or bad teams?

Let's get this straight. VA Tech is 2-0, never trailed against Ohio State AT Columbus, and you project Ohio State at 23 and VA Tech still not ranked? Are you saying that you think the voters are idiots? Or that they'll overrate Ohio State regardless of obvious facts?
