Whether it's at home, on the back patio, or in the usual spot outside the stadium, we can typically have just as good of a time regardless of the location. The campus environment of previous seasons obviously adds in some special elements that we now miss, but we're still enjoying the season!
I tend to think the only coach who could possibly get fired this year is Gus Malzahn if the season were a disaster. But even that is probably not very likely.
If you want to bet a dog, I do think Kentucky winning outright is the play. I think Bo Nix could be good, but I don't exactly trust him game to game and wouldn't be shocked by some early sloppiness by him and the Auburn offense.
I'm way too excited to see the Alabama quarterbacks this year.
I enjoyed this part... The summer of 2001. After Saban was hired at LSU, he and his wife Terry bought a home at Lake Burton, Ga. Soon the Sabans began looking for a reputable contractor, and that’s when Chuck Moore came into the picture. Chuck was a housing contractor in the area, and a good one. Initially Chuck didn’t reveal to Saban one significant piece of information: Chuck was Mal Moore’s nephew.”He didn’t know me from Adam,” Chuck told SDS. “I told him he might know my uncle, and he began to pick my brain about Mal and his career.” Over time, Chuck and Saban developed both a business relationship and a friendship. They spent time together on the golf course, where Chuck loved to talk football with Saban, particularly about old coaches. “He told me he never knew Coach Bryant, never got to meet him, but he absolutely loved Coach Stallings,” Chuck said. “Coach Stallings was his favorite coach.” Chuck was always impressed with Saban’s hands-on approach to building and the way he treated many of the laborers. “He’d get out in the yard and help them tote lumber,” Chuck recalled. “And he was interested in them individually. He treated each of them with respect.”
I agree. They were loaded at running back this year as well. If your line isn't above average, it won't matter much. How is Georgia's line projected to be in 2017?
Good read. That class was a monster. I'd enjoy hearing from other Alabama fans regarding which class that Saban has put together is your favorite? Identifying just one isn't easy.
I think Butch Jones is the best guy on this list.
Guy trades a commitment to Auburn for a wad of cash? Yep, it sure is recruiting season.
Malzahn 10th best in the country. That's probably generous.
The Happy Gilmore appearance is very underrated.
We'll miss Drake. Get well soon brother.
What's with the average SEC East teams embracing rap music this year?
LOL Mark Richt. I hope he stays at Georgia for ten more years. Better for the rest of us.
