Surprised Connor didnt crack the top 5, but i am very glad to see Norwood get props. Everybody gives Lattimore credit for changing the culture but I was fortunate to see Norwood holding his teammates to a higher standard/challenging them to do better during winter workouts. Sorry to see his NFL career not work out
Can't really rank Willy B since he was the home qb and fans are typically polite to their own offense
No South Carolina players on defense expected to leave early? That is good for the rest of the conference I guess
Wuerffel or Connor Shaw would give different feedback probably. Keep your nose clean, execute on the field to the best of your ability and there is little reason for the HBC to be displeased
Auburn rode a perfect storm last year of a tipped pass and a FG return all the way to Pasadena. The harder you work the luckier you get
The state of Mississippi. Unreal how good they have both gotten
Not only was it 2 games, it was 2 SEC East games. They should have 4 SEC losses now and Muschamp should be hiring a real estate agent
Doubtful. Willy B is just underrated because we dont ride a bus and release a bunch of dumbass balloons after running down a hill
Coming in to this year SC hadnt lost at home in 2.5 years (17 games) and barely gets on the list? A&M obviously didnt struggle in Columbia, but I would think we would be higher.
SOS always keeps it real. Mentioned we should be 5-1, but could also just as easily be 0-6. Hopefully the ahip gets righted in the next 1.5 weeks and we can win 4-5 games out of the next 6.
Kentucky 6 spots over A&M because they beat SC when the Aggies were on the road against a team that is tied for 3rd in the nation? What the french, toast?
Kentucky is just as deserving of being ranked as Mizzoy, if not more. They should be 5-0 and theyve played 3 conference games. Mizzou lost to Indiana and was much less impressive against SC
Dont get your hopes up about next year. Everyone we will play is breaking in their QB of the future this season while we are "Ride or die" with Thompson for no good reason now.
Am I the only person that is creeped out by the SEC Cryptkeeper's appearance?
USM lost a lot of talent when Fedora left, didnt they?
1 week later, everyone in Columbia, SC is much less annoyed that Chesney was our guest picker.
Finebaum is annoying and looks line Skeletor. But to be fair, the only thing I watch on SEC Network are actual games. Gameday is vastly superior to SEC Nation too.
The only thing the "prevent" prevents is points.
The fact that "not thinking about" the 2 point conversion is what SOS said is frightening. Any 11 year old with a Playstation would know that you have nothing to lose and everything to gain from trying. This game felt like Tennessee last year: sloppy, poor execution, unmotivated, and we even had the unicorn of bad SOS games (wasting 2 timeouts in a row). The fact that it was parents weekend didnt help either, killing a ton of energy (I was told to sit down so people could see after the first 3 plays of the game).
Not blaming Dylan for this loss, but we have to start thinking about the future. Everyone else we play is breaking in new QBs this season and we are going to be behind the curve next season if we do not get reps for Mitch, Orth, and even Nosovitch. We are lucky to be 3-2 and not 0-5 right now. Dylan is just in the unfortunate situation of following Shaw. The burden will be a little lighter on the next guy.
In no way am I saying SC makes it to Atlanta, but the year they did their SEC record was 5-3. The East is terrible so I think 2 losses minimum will be what happens.
SEC Coaches... "They're just like us!"
A loss doesnt eliminate SC from Atlanta. Gamecocms have only been once and went 5-3 in conference play this year. Feels like whoever comes from the East will limely have at least 2 losses this year because noone stands out. The West also just because they are so deep.
SOS does this everytime there is a turnover/momentum-shifting call as long as he is in range of the endzone. You can set your watch to it. Love it and him.
Davis can only do 2 things, but never both at the same time: be productive or stay healthy. When he does produce he ALWYS has to come out. And he usually gets hurt trying to make a highlight to help his draft stock
I think Mizzou stumbled against Indiana because they were looking ahead to SC. Now this game is on a bigger stage, they lost to an inferior team, and we have a host of issues to fix. Hopefully Connor Shaw being in town will be good luck.
Speaking of evil glimpses into the future... Just about everyone is reloading/starting over with first year QBs this year. Sadly, we will be doing it all over again next year. Everyone we play in 2015 will have a little more experience than SC if we cannot beat the teams we need to beat convincingly enough to get backups in the games.
When I saw the game was on CBS I knew getting tickets was the best thing to do. I dislike Verne as well as the coverage CBS provides.
The only opinion that matters is that the best coach in SC history said Shaw is the best QB in SC history. Garcia got us to our first/only SEC championship game, but Shaw was consistently good each game.
