Florida Gators interim head coach DJ Durkin announced Wednesday that the Gators will be without two seniors for the team’s final game of the 2014 season.

Wide receiver Andre Debose and defensive tackle Darious Cummings did not make the trip to Birmingham, Ala., with the team. Durkin cited different reasons for the both of them not playing.

“We had two guys not make the trip with us — Darious Cummings and Andre Debose,” Durkin said on Wednesday. “Those will be two guys that won’t be participating in the game. Darious Cummings was a violation of team rules and Andre, it was just kind of a decision he made and a mutual agreement that he would be moving on with his career.”

ECU will so be without two starters on Saturday when the Pirates take on the Gators. Staring safety Dominique Lennon and defensive tackle Terry Williams will also not be available.

News also broke Wednesday that ECU’s leading rusher Breon Allen will be questionable for the Birmingham Bowl after sustaining an injury late in practice.
