Guess who has a spot in the press box for Saturday’s SEC Championship Game between Florida and Alabama?

The Belk Bowl.

Our guess is that representatives will be there to scout Florida for a potential invite, though most recent projections have Arkansas headed to Charlotte for a postseason contest against a member of the ACC.

Per its website:

“This exciting postseason game features a matchup of the No. 2 pooled selection from the SEC against the No. 2 pooled selection from the ACC after the College Football Playoff.

“… The Belk Bowl delighted college football fans around the country when it signed a six-year partnership beginning in 2014 with the Southeastern Conference. Now fans look forward to seeing the ACC and the SEC battle it out in Charlotte annually at the end of December.”

Win or lose, Alabama appears to be a lock for the Playoff, while Florida can likely only advance to the Sugar Bowl with a win Saturday over the top-ranked Crimson Tide. It’s hard to imagine the Belk Bowl is on site to watch Alabama play, although, as SEC Director of Communications Chuck Dunlap points out, all SEC bowl games are invited to the league title game:

The Gators are massive 24-point underdogs to undefeated Alabama — a matchup that will begin at 4 p.m. ET this Saturday afternoon on CBS.
