Although not slated to play until Nov. 26, the line between the Florida Gators and the Florida State Seminoles has been released — courtesy of the Westgate Resort and Casino in Las Vegas:

The Gators current sit with a 5-1 record, whilst the Seminoles hold a 5-2 mark at this point in the year.

Neither team has looked like true world-beaters thus far in the ’16 campaign. FSU was smoked by 43 points in the loss to Louisville, and also suffered a last-second defeat at the hands of North Carolina.

As for Florida, Jim McElwain’s team has struggled with both injuries and a lack of consistency on offense.

This game has considerable implications for both programs — particularly when it comes to recruiting. With Miami resurging into relevancy only recently, Florida and Florida State have been the ‘it’ programs for the last decade.

Being played in Tallahassee, this end-of-the-year tilt could have immense impact on one of the two program’s recruiting efforts — whether in negative or positive fashion.

Florida leads all-time with a 34-24-2 record. However in recent history, Florida State has won five of the last six meetings — including last year’s 27-2 pounding of the Gators.
