It appears Chip Kelly is getting ready to accept a job coaching somewhere, but it is still anybody’s guess as to where Kelly will land.

Kelly posted a 46-7 record at Oregon from 2009-12 and was widely regarded as one of the best offensive minds in the game during that span. He led the team to two BCS Bowl wins and nearly captured the BCS National Championship in 2010 when the Ducks were knocked off by the Auburn Tigers.

He then left for the NFL before being fired by San Francisco after last season. He did not coach anywhere for 2017 but has been connected to the open positions at Florida and UCLA over the past few weeks. Needless to say, everyone seems to have an opinion on what Kelly is going to do.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach shared the story that Kelly met with UCLA on Tuesday and will decide between Florida or UCLA in the coming days:

Lawyer and Florida insider Darren Heitner shared the report that Kelly has already signed an agreement to take the Gators vacancy. However, that rumored agreement has an opt-out period which prompted the UCLA discussion:

USA TODAY’s George Schroeder shared a similar story that Kelly has offers from UCLA and Florida, but Schroeder included the interesting note that Kelly supposedly turned down the head coaching position at Tennessee:

Everyone may have an idea on where Kelly is going, but nothing official has been announced at this time.

The bottom line: it’s good to be Chip Kelly.
