Five-star Gators freshman OT Martez Ivey to have knee scoped
Five-star Florida freshman Martez Ivey will have his knee scoped on Friday, leaving his status for next weekend’s season opener and beyond uncertain according to Gators coach Jim McElwain.

McElwain says that Mason Halter, David Sharpe and Fred Johnson can all handle the tackle spots with Martez Ivey out.

Florida’s hoping the knee injury isn’t serious to a projected rookie contributor, but Ivey needs to be further evaluated after complaining of soreness in his leg.
Earlier this week, Ivey was working with the Gators’ first team at tackle. Florida’s offensive line is the least experienced unit in the SEC, returning only one player with starting experience.
