Florida has officially added a third non-conference opponent to its 2020 slate as the school announced the addition of South Alabama to its future schedule Thursday. This game will be the only contest of this scheduled series. The Florida-South Alabama game is set to be played Sept. 19th at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Before Gator fans write this game off as an easy win, remember that South Alabama went into Starkville and beat Mississippi State 21-20 to in the 2016 season opener. Clearly, South Alabama has no fear of SEC opponents, as the Jaguars are returning to Mississippi to open the 2017 season in Oxford to take on Ole Miss.

Florida is now set to host South Alabama and Eastern Washington (Sept. 5) while hitting the road at Florida State Nov. 28 in the 2020 non-conference schedule. The SEC home games that season include Kentucky, LSU (if they decide to make the trip), Missouri and South Carolina. SEC road games include Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss. Of course, the Georgia game will be played in Jacksonville in 2020.

The school now has only one non-conference game left to announce in order to complete its future 2020 slate.
