Florida officially announced its switch to the Jordan Brand as it became the fourth college football program to do so.

Michigan, North Carolina and Oklahoma joined Florida in leaving Nike and moving to the Jordan Brand. Florida is the first program in the SEC to make such a move. The partnership will include the football team and the men’s and women’s basketball teams. The Gators’ uniforms will begin to feature the Jumpman logo at the start of the 2018-19 season.

Jordan Brand now has presence in five Division I conferences — the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, ACC and the Big East. Florida x Jordan Brand merchandise will begin to hit retail in summer 2018.

Athletics Director Scott Stricklin said the Gators and Jordan Brand “are two of the more iconic brands in athletics.” New football coach Dan Mullen said he’s excited to update his closet, and even reportedly wore the shoes on a recent recruiting trip.

“I was excited to hear that the Florida football program was partnering with the Jordan Brand,” Mullen said in a statement released by the school. “I know our players and staff will be pumped up for the new swag and I can’t wait to wear my new AJ1 FlyKnits.”
