Florida coach Jim McElwain addresses LSU's firing of Les Miles
Though the Florida Gators lost at Death Valley to the Les Miles-coached LSU Tigers last season, coach Jim McElwain still has the utmost respect for Miles and what he accomplished in Baton Rouge.
In his Monday press conference, McElwain addressed the firing, saying he feels sorry for the players during this transition period:
"Being in this business, as rough as it is and the decision is, my feelings go out to those families, those players." Mac on Miles 1/2

"He obviously had an unbelievable relationship with those players and the impact he's had on their lives." Mac on Miles 2/2

McElwain also went up against Miles’ LSU teams from 2008 to 2011 when he served as Alabama’s offensive coordinator.
LSU, now led by interim coach Ed Orgeron, will travel Gainesville for a game against the Gators on Saturday, Oct. 8.
