Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, better known as the Swamp, is a rallying point for Gators fans near and far on Saturdays in the fall. This year, however, the University of Florida is putting the iconic stadium to good use in the springtime as well.

The Gators will host a “Movie in the Swamp” night on Saturday, May 9, inside the stadium, according to GatorZone.com. Local movie-goers will have the opportunity to vote online for the film to be shown that night. The choices are either superhero thriller The Avengers (2012), or football classics Remember the Titans (2000) or Little Giants (1994).

The movie will be shown on the video boards at both ends of the stadium, providing fans in attendance with a unique viewing experience. The event is free for Florida football season ticket holders (it’s $10 apiece for the general public and $5 apiece for youth or seniors), and the first 500 season ticket holders in attendance will have the opportunity to bring a blanket and lay on the field while watching the movie.

Football fans will also have plenty to see and do that night. The Bryan E. Kornblau Foyer will be open that evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. for fans to take a look at the Florida national championship and Heisman trophies through the years.
