The Florida Gators have been hampered by nine suspensions through two games this year, and those suspensions are likely to continue at least one more week.

Key players like WR Antonio Callaway and RB Jordan Scarlett have missed action, and Callaway and two others may face serious charges like grand theft.

Though the suspensions will likely carry through this weekend, state attorney Bill Cervone said he does hope to have the case before the end of this week and by early next week at the latest:

It’s important to note that Cervone doesn’t expect to get the case finished by the end of this week, simply that he hopes to begin his investigation of the facts by that time.

From there, he’ll decide what the state wants to do with the case moving forward.
