Florida TE granted sixth season of eligibility from NCAA
When Virginia transfer Jake McGee debuted for the Florida Gators last year at tight end, fans were excited to see what he could bring to a Florida offense in desperate need of weapons. Unfortunately, McGee’s season barely got started as he broke two bones in his left leg during the first game of the 2014 season.
McGee has been granted another season of eligibility and will have the opportunity to suit up once again for the Gators in 2015.
Lets try this college thing one more time! thanks @ncaa ?? see you in the fall!

In 2013, McGee was Virginia’s leading receiver with 43 catches, 395 yards and two touchdowns.
New coach Jim McElwain is tasked with bringing offensive production back to the swamp, and the return of McGee gives him a really nice piece to do just that.
