WR James Robinson, a 4-star player out of Florida, was a big-time part of the Gators’ 2017 recruiting class.

However, he was suspended for Florida’s first game of the year due to an arrest, but then things took a much more serious turn, as he missed the rest of the season with a heart issue.

On Friday, the talented young player tweeted the devastating news that he’d no longer be able to play football, presumably due to the heart issue:

It’s always tough to see a young player’s career end with an injury or an illness like this, and the Gators will now be left wondering what could have been.

Hopefully Robinson’s condition isn’t life-threatening, but his days as a football player are apparently over. Florida will likely honor his scholarship, so hopefully he remains enrolled and earns a degree before leaving Gainesville.
