Florida’s 2015 secondary was one of the best in school history, and arguably SEC history. The unit featured Vernon Hargreaves III, Keanu Neal, Jalen “Teez” Tabor, Quincy Wilson, Brian Poole and Marcus Maye. While Hargreaves, Neal and Tabor occupied the spotlight, it was easy to forget about Poole.

Hargreaves and Neal both left early following their junior seasons at the end of the 2015 season – both were first-round draft picks. Poole’s draft weekend, however, went much differently. He waited through all seven rounds, but never got picked.

Luckily for Poole, things worked out for the best. In a reunion with Dan Quinn, his former defensive coordinator at Florida (2012) and current Atlanta head coach, the Flacons decided to sign Poole as an undrafted free agent.

Poole will be in Houston in two weeks, playing in the Super Bowl while 30 other teams who passed on him are watching him on TV. They’ll be watching to see if Tom Brady is the next quarterback on the receiving end of one of Poole’s vicious hits.
