C.J. Worton won’t be back on the field any time soon.

Florida coach Jim McElwain said Thursday that the junior receiver is out with a high ankle sprain and has no timetable for a return. McElwain had previously speculated Worton could return within a week.

Worton had been working with the first-string offense in fall camp after hauling in only eight passes and two touchdowns in the previous two seasons. The injury bug has bitten Worton in fall camp for the second time in two years — in 2015, he sat out a week with a leg injury before tweaking his knee in the season opener.
