On Saturday, the Florida Gators turned in a disappointing performance on the road against Alabama, falling to the Crimson Tide 42-21. Fortunately for the former Gators, Sunday brought on much better performances from the Gators in the NFL.

Here are some of the notable performance in Sunday’s Week 3 NFL action from the Florida alumni.

  • Percy Harvin – seven receptions for 42 yards. The electrifying Percy Harvin once again made an impact for his Seattle Seahawks. The former Gator receiver didn’t score any touchdowns this week, but his seven receptions led the team. The Seahawks defeated the Broncos 26-20 in overtime and Harvin continues to enjoy early season success, thanks to be fully healthy for the first time in a few years.
  • Jelani Jenkins – 15 tackles (career high), 1.5 sacks and one tackle for loss. The Miami Dolphins linebacker is on a tear for his pro team, racking up a career-high in tackles for the second straight week. His 15 tackles against the Chiefs comes just one week after a 14 tackle performance.
  • Caleb Sturgis – 2-of-3 on field goals, including a 51-yarder. One of Florida’s top kickers in school history had a successful weekend for the Dolphins. Sturgis impressively knocked in a field goal from 51 yards out and converted on another kick during the game. It wasn’t enough, however, as the Dolphins lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 34-15.

Other notable NFL performances from former Gators

  • Carlos Dunlap – six tackles and one sack (third consecutive game with a sack)
  • Jon Bostic – four tackles and one tackle for loss
  • Riley Cooper – four receptions for 34 yards
  • Frankie Hammond – returned five punts for 100 yards, had a long return of 47 yards
