Some of the best high school recruits from around the country are flocking to Orlando, Fla., this afternoon to kick off the Under Armour All-American week.

One recruit in particular, five-star defensive end Byron Cowart, caused a stir at registration when he arrived with a Chucky doll in hand.

Florida fans will take this as an encouraging sign, considering the history of the Chucky doll within the program. It was a tradition started by Dominique Easley, who would bring a Chucky doll with him to all of his games.

When Easley left the program, he passed on the distinction of the “Chucky doll owner” to defensive end Dante Fowler.

Now that Fowler is on his way to the NFL, it appears Cowart may be opining to be the next in line.

Of course, he also showed up in FSU shorts, so who knows which way the five-star standout is leaning at this point. However, Rivals.com’s Mike Farrell got the sense Florida would be Cowart’s choice if he was deciding this week.

You can watch Cowart and the rest of the Under Armour All-Americans during the UA game on Friday, Jan. 2, at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN 2.
