When the Florida coaching staff is completed, it will look a lot like last year’s Mississippi State staff, as new Gators coach Dan Mullen is bringing plenty of his former assistants with him.

Now, we can add another former Bulldogs coach to the list, as Mullen has hired a head strength coach. The Gators have since officially announced Savage’s hire.

According to FootballScoop.com, Mullen has hired former Mississippi State head strength coach Nick Savage the same position in Gainesville and Savage has reportedly accepted:

Sources tell FootballScoop Dan Mullen has now offered Mississippi State head strength coach Nick Savage the same role at Florida. Savage has accepted, we are told. Mullen promoted Savage from assistant to head strength coach before the 2016 season.

Savage joins defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and other former MSU assistants Billy Gonzales and John Hevesy on Mullen’s staff.

Mullen still has a few more hires to make, and it’s likely he could add a few more ex-Bulldogs to the mix.
