The sad story of Deiondre Porter has reached its next chapter as the former Florida defensive back has reportedly been sentenced to six years in prison for his role in an armed robbery in Jacksonville.

News of Porter’s sentencing comes from Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times. Unfortunately, this isn’t Porter’s first run-in with the law. Back in October of 2015, Porter was suspended by Florida after allegedly firing a gun at his pregnant girlfriend.

Porter was a three-star signee in the Gators 2014 recruiting class, meaning had he stayed on with the Gators, he would be entering his senior season academically on campus. Instead, the Tampa native is heading to prison after an armed robbery of a T-Mobile store.

In his Gator career, Porter appeared in two games total for the Gators. He never returned to the team following his 2015 suspension from the program.
