Last week, news came out that Tim Tebow was still pursuing the dream of playing quarterback in the NFL. On Monday afternoon, ESPN’s Adam Schefter let us know that those dreams are alive and well, reporting that Tebow will work out for Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Tebow tryout is just another headline in a whirlwind couple of weeks for Kelly’s Eagles, who have gone through major roster turnover since the start of NFL free agency. Kelly has drawn some ire from Eagles fans and from around the league for his series of moves, getting rid of many of Philadelphia’s star players. Signing Tebow would only serve to confuse the masses even more.

The SEC Network personality has been out of the league since being cut by the New England Patriots in 2013. He’d previously spent two years with the Denver Broncos, who chose him in the first round in 2010, before being jettisoned in favor of Peyton Manning, then backed up current Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez when the two were on the New York Jets.
