A large media and scout throng is gathered at USC’s Dedeaux Field in California to watch the tryout heard ’round the world.

Tim Tebow has about 40 scouts from MLB teams in attendance for his much anticipated tryout, and he didn’t disappoint with his 60-yard dash either.

ESPN’s Mike Greenberg reported that Tebow ran a 6.65 60-yard dash in front of scouts, and that’s moving at 252 pounds. You can’t help but think about how much of an impact he could make with that size and speed in the NFL at another position.

At 6.65, Tebow would be considered an “above average runner,” according to MLB scouts.
