2014 Missouri vs Tennessee
Missouri scored 16 unanswered points in the second half, then survived a bizarre pair of onside kick attempts to hold on for a 29-21 win at Neyland Stadium.
Despite a missed field goal and a missed extra point, the Tigers (9-2, 6-1) took a 29-13 lead. Tennessee responded with a touchdown and two-point conversion with 1:57 left.
On the ensuing onside kick, the officials ruled Tennessee offsides on what appeared to be a blown call, negating a Vols recovery. Backing up 5 yards, Tennessee again gained possession, but touched the ball before it moved 10 yards, giving Missouri possession.
The Tigers ran out the clock and moved within one win of back-to-back SEC East titles in spite of 15 penalties and many special teams miscues.
Markus Golden, Shane Ray and the Missouri defensive line harassed Tennessee QB Josh Dobbs all night, and a quartet of Tigers skill players combined for 332 yards in the win.
