One of the jewels of Georgia’s 2018 recruiting class will be on television tonight.

Justin Fields, a 5-star dual-threat QB and the No. 1 ranked player in the nation by 247 Sports, earlier this season picked the Bulldogs over Auburn, FSU, and LSU. Fields’ Harrison team will take on Dalton at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.

According to the Marietta Daily Journal, Fields this season has 710 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 84 attempts. He is also among the county’s passing leaders, completing 74 of 116 attempts for 1,237 yards and 17 touchdowns.

This is also not the first time cameras will be around the Harrison team this season. A documentary series, “QB1: Beyond the Lights,” has followed Fields as he competes the final season of his high school career.

Moments after Fields made his commitment to Georgia, he said he would become a recruiter for the program.

“I know I just committed and everything, but I’m already hitting guys up, telling them to come join me cause I want the best players to play with me,” Fields explained. “Each and everyday at practice, the best defensive players, I want to get myself better and them better also.”

Despite Jake Fromm and Jacob Eason already on the roster, Fields said coach Kirby Smart assured him the best player will play.

“Coach Smart, he hasn’t promised me any playing time,” said Fields. “The only thing he’s promised me is he’s going to play the best player, and that’s really the only promise I want. My plan is to just go in there, work hard, study the playbook and just really create those relationships with the players and do my best.”
