Sunday may have felt like a letdown to many Georgia Bulldog fans, as five-star receiver prospect Demetris Robertson chose to commit to Cal over Georgia, but there may be a silver lining that comes from his decision to head out of state.

In wake of the news, Georgia five-star signee Mecole Hardman Jr. took full advantage of the opportunity to offer his assistance to play receiver for the Bulldogs. Hardman sent this tweet out Sunday directed at his new head coach Kirby Smart:

One of the top high school athletes in the nation in 2016, Hardman possess all the tools to excel on either side of the ball in SEC play. While Georgia recruited him mainly as a defensive back, Hardman seems more than willing to line up on either side of the ball for the Dawgs.

Judging from his high school highlight reel, Hardman looks particularly dangerous anytime the ball is in his hands:

So while Georgia may have lost out on a top offensive prospect Sunday, they have at least one great alternative in Hardman for the coming season. Who knows, Robertson’s decision may have just sparked the career of the next great in-state star for the Bulldogs.

Hardman also tweeted this video out Sunday showcasing his speed:
