A.J. Green’s hamstring injury is not as serious as originally feared — not yet, at least.

The Cincinnati Bengals receiver and former Georgia standout will miss Sunday’s game but has not been ruled out for the rest of the year, coach Marvin Lewis said during a Monday news conference.

Green sustained the injury against Buffalo last Sunday, and the team said he would likely be sidelined for the rest of the year pending an MRI. That’s not the case of now, but the Bengals will be without their five-time Pro Bowler against the Ravens this weekend.

Green played at Georgia from 2008-2010 before being the fourth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
