One of the defining moments in Georgia’s stunning 17-16 home loss to Vanderbilt last Saturday was WR Michael Chigbu’s drop of a fourth-quarter pass from QB Jacob Eason on third-and-1 in Commodore territory.

Though Eason’s pass wasn’t great, Chigbu told DawgNation.com that he blames himself for the play:

“Even with that ball behind me, it’s my fault,” Chigbu said. “I can’t blame nobody. Jacob threw a ball to me, I’m supposed to be there for him and I wasn’t.”

Chigbu said he won’t be satisfied until he achieves perfection:

“I should have caught it. Everything that touches my hand, I should have caught,” he said. “Every drop I had this season is my fault, it’s me not focusing.”

Georgia has a bye this week before traveling to Jacksonville to take on the Florida Gators next weekend.
