Georgia QB Jake Fromm is one of the country’s most interesting players for 2018.

His stellar freshman season surprised many, and now, with Jacob Eason out of the picture and freshman Justin Fields in it, Georgia is clearly Fromm’s team. Can he really improve upon his 2017 season? After all, he threw for 2,615 yards, accounted for 27 total TDs and won the SEC’s Freshman of the Year Award. While those numbers could certainly improve, he’ll be judged more on whether he can match or eclipse the 13-2 record mark.

Fromm showed poise that most young QBs lack, and he’s proven he can make all the throws on the field.

11Alive.com caught up with Fromm at the Atlanta Sports Awards dinner Thursday, where he was a finalist for “Collegiate Athlete of the Year,” and the outlet asked him how he’s been spending his time this offseason.

“Really, it’s about focusing back on us, and controlling what we can control,” Fromm said. “And that’s going to work every day, continuing to work hard and taking care of the little things … in the weight room, on the field. As long as we do what we do, we’ll be fine.”

No doubt, Georgia is one of the top three or four talented teams in college football, and with a veteran leader like Fromm at the helm, Georgia may not skip a beat.
