Kirby Smart’s Georgia program may have moved on from Jeremiah Holloman but that doesn’t mean the talented receiver won’t have an opportunity to continue his playing career somewhere else.

After getting the boot in Athens, Holloman’s name has surfaced in the NCAA transfer portal according to 247Sports.

If you missed the news late last week, the junior receiver was dismissed by Georgia after being accused of aggravated assault and battery by an ex-girlfriend. The alleged incident apparently took place in the spring of 2018 but the woman did not inform local authorities until June of 2019.

Following that revelation, Smart issued the following statement via release:

“Jeremiah Holloman no longer represents the University of Georgia football program. We expect every member of our team to uphold the highest standards and values of the University of Georgia and Georgia football. It is disappointing when this does not happen.”

During his two seasons in Athens, Holloman caught 25 passes for 425 yards and five touchdowns. While those numbers may not jump out at you, when you consider how much production the Bulldogs were already set to lose this offseason with the departures of Mecole Hardman, Riley Ridley, Isaac Nauta and Terry Godwin (they accounted for 131 catches, 1,917 yards and 22 touchdowns last season), Georgia’s offense was likely to lean heavily on Holloman next season.

Now the junior is forced to look for a new home following these troubling allegations levied against him.
