Terry Barber, a passionate Georgia fan who went by the internet handle TeeDawg recently passed away from cancer, according to various reports.
A few days after he died, UGA head coach Mark Richt sent the following letter to Barber’s family:

The letter happened to surface on social media Saturday (hat tip: College Spun). Every SEC head coach makes gestures of this kind from time to time, but Richt seems to be featured in more than his share of these stories.
We give our condolences to Barber’s family, but it’s neat to see one of the SEC’s most powerful men recognizing one of the fans that give so much time, energy and money toward the program.
