One of Georgia’s most experienced players is expected to miss the early portion of his senior season as Malkom Parrish has reportedly suffered a broken bone which will require surgery. Parrish was originally injured this week during fall camp in Athens.

The latest news on his injury comes via Seth Emerson of Dawg Nation. The exact timeline for Parrish’s recovery is not known at this time.

The senior has appeared in 37 games in his Georgia career, making 25 starts in the last two seasons. He was the team’s seventh-leading tackler last season (47) and led the team in pass breakups as a junior.

In his Georgia career, Parrish has registered 108 total tackles, 15 passes defended, 8.5 tackles-for-loss and four interceptions.
