Several hours after the Bulldogs took the field on Saturday for their annual G-Day Game they received some great news.

Jake Camarda, the No. 1 kicker prospect for the Class of 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking, announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Saturday evening via Twitter.

Georgia has had some interesting moments lately with current kicker Rodrigo Blankenship, who made 77.8 percent of his field goals last season. Blankenship’s father has been vocal in his request that his son receive a full scholarship, which was supposedly promised by Mark Richt.

For now, Blankenship remains Georgia’s starting kicker, but it looks like he could have a bit of competition headed his way next season.
